Shira brings more than thirty years of experience in operations management and client service.  She worked primarily at Christie’s auction house in New York City, first as an Art Specialist, and later as a departmental Business Manager, Head of Client Service Operations in North America, and the project manager for several blockbuster auctions.  While at Christie’s, Shira honed her skills in both financial and people management, juggling many tasks with tight deadlines, and became passionate about creating an exceptional visitor experience for all clients.

Shira recently relocated to the Berkshires in western Massachusetts. She worked as the Director of Operations for Jess Cooney Interiors, a local interior design studio. She was responsible for general operations of the business as well as financial oversight and management of all projects – accounts payable and receivable, financial reporting, tracking orders for all projects, and maintaining the office space and design library.  

Shira loves working with people and is passionate about helping others. While her children were small, she served on the Parents’ Association Board of their school, and also volunteered through New York Cares.  She also started a small not-for-profit, Teen Impact Project, that managed and created group volunteer opportunities for teens in NYC. Shira is currently a committee member at Hevreh of Southern Berkshire, and volunteers weekly at The People’s Pantry in Great Barrington, MA.

Bringing together passion and skill allows Shira to help people manage her clients’ financial affairs and organize their important personal information. She is also lucky to be joining forces with her sister Leah, the company’s founder and President, to expand Everyday Money Management to the Berkshires.

Shira graduated from Tufts University with a degree in Art History and received her master’s degree in American Studies from The George Washington University.  She lives in West Stockbridge, MA in the heart of the Berkshires with her husband, two daughters, two dogs, and six chickens. Shira enjoys organizing of any kind, hiking, gardening, crafting, and travel.
