Frederika (Rika) Granger, comes to EMM after a 30-year career working in foster care, emergency psychiatric services, senior wellbeing, and program administration. Most recently, Rika provided individual counseling and psychoeducation groups for seniors in Rockville and Gaithersburg senior centers. As the Community Services Manager for the City of Rockville she oversaw several direct service programs as well as grants provided by and received by the City of Rockville.

The skills that Rika brings to EMM are customer service, project management, budgeting and planning, as well as organizing.

In the volunteer world, Rika enjoys working with food insecurity and youth development. Rika has a Masters of Social Work from the Catholic University of America and a Bachelor’s degree in Art History from Connecticut College. 

Rika is a native Washingtonian and currently lives in Rockville, MD with her husband and two cats.
